SNEAK PREVIEW - Internet Marketing This Week Episode 1
Mention computer clubs and images come to mind of stuffy cerebral nerds sitting around discussing languages which seem like they come from another planet. On the contrary, this is not the case with our local computer club. I never cease to be amazed at our diverse club membership. Our club membership includes individuals of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.
Our local Tampa Bay Computer Society (TBCS) club president, Dave Dockery, explains they have numerous options available for different computer interests. There is a place for everybody whether someone has the skills of a novice, an intermediate user, or an expert. As a result of all our member’s different interests, qualifications, and backgrounds, volumes can be learned about computers and the Internet through Special Interest Groups (SIG’s) and classes. Currently, my favorite class is marketing guru, June Hollister’s Largo Workshop class. By attending this, I have met numerous successful on-line individuals.
The different interests people in our class have astonish me. Consequently, I was surprised to meet risk taker Kenneth Fietz, who has expert knowledge of gyroplanes. At first, I really didn’t even completely understand what he was talking about. As he explained, I realized he is into what I know as whirlybirds, or an aircraft without wings obtaining its lift from the rotation of overhead blades. I had always wondered what type of person would be into these crafts and the last place I expected to actually meet such a person was at a TBCS meeting. Nevertheless, I found Ken to be friendly, spirited, and very upbeat. His website http://www.gyroplanepassion.com/ has over 30 topics and contains over 200 pages. Ken welcomes all rotorheads, a nickname for rotary-wing enthusiasts, to his web site where visitors will find a completely free site containing rich information content. Ken enthusiastically describes whether you are looking for gyroplane information for selecting, building, funding, shipping, government agencies, or autogyro complete step-by-step information all can be obtained at his site.
Ken Fietz is grateful for the ease of setting up his Web site Gyro Plane Passion and the valuable knowledge he acquired from Site Build It! When Site Build It! is compared to other Web hosting companies, there is simply no other comparison to building a functional Web site. Even though his site has been up less than a half of a year, his web site receives around 30-70 visits per day. When searching Google for gyroplane government agencies, Ken’s Web site comes up well positioned on their advantageous first page out of 263,000 sites. When gyroplane government regulation is searched, Ken’s Gyro Plane Passion Web site comes up #1 under a Yahoo search and #2 on Google’s first page out of 217,000 other sites. Potential income available for his Web site includes Google AdSense, a shopping cart for direct sales of other merchandise, and entertaining other affiliate offers.
This year, it has been very interesting and rewarding learning and networking with this computer group. As a result of being involved with TBCS, I have a much greater practical working knowledge and understanding of computers and the Internet. In conclusion, by attending the Largo Workshop class, I now understand by applying the correct procedures anyone can convert their expert knowledge into a productive Web site.

In view of the fact cyberspace technology is now progressing at hyper speed, keeping up with the Age of Information is challenging at best. One no sooner grasps or masters an area in computer technology, only to find it has changed unannounced overnight. Don’t give up hope though, as there are numerous ways to successfully keep up with rapidly changing progress.
One such way is local computer clubs. Our local Tampa Bay Computer Society (TBCS) club president, Dave Dockery, explains they have numerous options available for different computer interests. There is a place for everybody whether someone has the skills of a novice, an intermediate user, or an expert. TBCS practices the philosophy of random acts of kindness therefore positive, productive interactions abound. As a result, between all the members and their different interests, qualifications, and backgrounds, volumes can be learned about how to use software, how to take proper care of computers, how to use the Internet, new scams to avoid, upcoming new technology, marketing, and many more topics. “We Strive to Elevate Computer Skills” is their mission statement and they live up to it through Special Interest Groups (SIG’s) and classes.
This year, my favorite class has been marketing guru, June Hollister’s Largo Workshop class. In brief, by using the correct procedures I have learned how anyone can convert knowledge into a Web business. As a result of attending this, I am now part of a group of successful on-line individuals.
Successful class attendees include Web site owner Svana Jonsson for example. In less than a year, Svana has prospered so well with her Feng Shui coins, she has been able to expand. Consequently, she has started two Web sites Magic Feng Shui and Chinese Feng Shui Products. When searching Google for Feng Shui coins, her Web site comes up well positioned on their second page out of 1,200,000 sites. For this reason, I am so impressed I bought my first set of Feng Shui coins from her hoping her success is contagious.
Svana is grateful for the ease of setting up her Web site and the valuable knowledge she acquired from Dr. Ken Evoy’s Site Build It! When Site Build It! (SBI!) is compared to other Web hosting companies, there is simply no other comparison to building a profitable Web site business. SBI! is another way to successfully keep up with changing data through their customer service, their on-line knowledge base, and by becoming a member in their forums.
For over a half of a decade now, it has been very rewarding learning and networking with this computer community. As a result of being involved with TBCS, I have a much greater practical working knowledge and understanding of computers than I received taking college classes. In conclusion, when the correct sources are utilized, unlimited possibilities for productive computer usage and keeping up with the changing times is possible.

Even though the happy holiday season is approaching, it is easy to be overcome with dread. Everywhere we turn today, there is an excess of problems and negative financial news. Don’t give up though, because hope is obtainable as there are many feasible ways to successfully produce an income on-line.
While millions of people use the Internet, few have an understanding of the income opportunities available in this innovative, progressive domain. Previously, I had not considered the Internet because I thought some type of strenuous activity or exertion was necessary in order to earn money. In contrast, the World Wide Web network of computers allows unlimited access to the entire world affording many people to earn either a part-time or full time income. Yearly E-commerce sales are now in the billions of dollars and rapidly growing. The US Census Bureau News Quarterly Retail E-Commerce Sales 2nd Quarter 2007 reports:
Total retail sales for the second quarter of 2007 were estimated at $1,012.6 billion, an increase of 1.3 percent (±0.3%) from the first quarter of 2007. The second quarter 2007 e-commerce estimate increased 20.8 percent (±4.6%) from the second quarter of 2006 while total retail sales increased 3.8 percent (±0.5%) in the same period. E-commerce sales in the second quarter of 2007 accounted for 3.3 percent of total sales.

Given the fact scams are plentiful everywhere, I myself was leery to make any moves in cyberspace. In spite of this, our local Tampa Bay Computer Society (TBCS) club president, Dave Dockery, explained they have numerous meetings and classes available for different computer interests. He suggested I attend marketing guru, June Hollister’s Largo Workshop class. As a result of attending this, I know numerous successful on-line individuals.
The different niches people from our class have flourished in astonish me. Carol started happy seniors pc users blog at http://www.happyseniorspcusers.blogspot.com/. To my admiration, Audrey and her mother together created a successful Web site about tea and chocolate at http://www.tea-or-chocolate.com/.
Surprisingly, there seems to be plenty of room for competition on the Web. Unexpectedly, several people from our class did websites offering batteries. Tom’s Today’s Batteries Web site is one example. Another one is Rudy’s thriving Web site at www.4batteries.com/ with a full line of batteries available. What's more, he custom makes and rebuilds batteries.
Still another successful example is Elementary Education Instructor, Kelly Mikesell’s, updated Web site Elementary Teacher Resources. Now when Google is searched for both elementary teacher resources and daily math journals, her Web site comes up on the first page. Her on-line eBook entitled Daily Math Journals for Kindergarten is only $7.
Yet another flourishing example is Lori’s Web site dedicated to choosing the best dog for your family at http://www.dog-paw-print.com/. When Google is searched, her Selection Quiz for Choosing a Dog page comes up well positioned on their advantageous first page. Since Lori is a local artist, in addition to showing her own available artwork, she rents out some of her Web site to other artists. Other potential income available for her Web site includes Google AdSense, affiliates, and a shopping cart for direct sales of other merchandise.
Both ladies are grateful for the valuable knowledge they acquired and the ease of setting up their Web sites with Dr. Ken Evoy’s Site Build It! When Site Build It! (SBI!) is compared feature-by-feature and dollar-for-dollar, there is simply no other comparison to building a promising, profitable Web site business. Out of the millions of Web sites on the Internet, the majority of SBI! sites are in the Top 3%. Hence, many community colleges, MBA programs, and major universities, for example, University of Arizona, include SBI! with their curriculums. I have read so many good things and heard from so many people who are happy with their SBI! Web sites, I can confidently recommend it. SBI! even has a risk free one-month trial offer plus a guarantee if they do not exceed your expectations, your money will be refunded immediately and you can keep your domain name as a thank you.
In the last six months, it really has been an exciting experience working, learning, and prospering together with this group. When proven methods are used, unlimited possibilities for productive on-line sites are possible. As a result of attending this class, I now understand there are many reputable, and honest choices available to succeed on-line. Blessing you and your loved ones with hope, joy, and peace for a prosperous holiday season and an abundance of money to spare and to share.

July 16, 2007After attending June Hollister’s Largo Workshop class, I have a completely different understanding of the Internet. Prior to this, I had mainly been wasting time on the Internet. While I sat in her class, I found myself saying “oh my… I didn’t know the Internet worked like this”. Numerous things surprised me. First, it shocked me to learn people are actually earning money off of the Internet. I had not considered the Internet as a way to earn money. I thought in order to earn money one had to actually put their hands on something and do some type of strenuous exertion or activity. In 1999, I purchased my first computer but haven’t bought very much off of the Internet in this time period. I was amazed to learn yearly E-commerce sales are now well over $100 billion and growing. The US Census Bureau News Quarterly Retail E-Commerce Sales 4th Quarter 2006 reports: Total e-commerce sales for 2006 were estimated at $108.7 billion, an increase of 23.5 percent (±3.3%) from 2005. Total retail sales in 2006 increased 5.8 percent (±0.3%) from 2005. E-commerce sales in 2006 accounted for 2.8 percent of total sales. http://www.census.gov/mrts/www/data/html/06Q4.html Next, I had been only using Google as a search engine so I was surprised to find out what is behind the Google Search Bar. I have learned Google is so vast it is like another world and expanding. Another thing, which surprised me, are the networking communities on the Internet. A couple of years ago, I had gotten turned off from blogging sites because of annoying political issues. I really didn’t know about all the Internet communities and hadn’t even visited the well-known ones. Now I am a happy member of such sites as www.blogger.com and www.myspace.com, and I am exploring others. I had no idea there were website communities for submitting articles such as this one, ezinearticles.com. This class has really opened my eyes to the entire world. I am still adjusting to finding my way around and endeavoring to get up to speed. Even though I cut back on my emails, I still have a tendency to get lost in them. I am trying to edit my emails down to information about the articles I am writing. Now when I turn on the computer, I am either writing an article, reviewing someone else’s, reviewing their website, participating in a network community, or reviewing information about money making opportunities. As a result of taking the Largo workshop class, I now enjoy using the Internet in an entirely different way. © Debby Bolen – Online marketer instructor June Hollister can help you build an online business with her book The Simple Truth. June 30, 2007This winter I had the pleasure of attending June Hollister’s Largo Workshop class, which completely changed my understanding of the Internet. Prior to taking this class, I had been wasting time using the Internet for political purposes, researching, and emailing. When I explained this to June, she recommended several changes for me to make better use of the Internet. First, she explained I really needed to obtain DSL service. For over a half a decade, I had a dial-up Internet service provider and was very hesitant to make changes. I didn’t want to be bothered with changing email addresses, and I wasn’t sure if DSL would work even if I could figure out how to properly install the equipment. However, I am relieved to say the installation process was well documented, easy-to-follow, and Verizon DSL works better than I thought it would. Now, I am able to download faster, to navigate quicker, and have more viewing options. In addition, I am very pleased to actually be able to use my phone because it is not tied up for hours on end anymore. Second, the change of email address turned out to be a blessing. June had recommended Google’s extras in class, so I sent the account I closed into my Google’s Gmail account because it has a Spam folder. From here I sorted through the Spam and determined which emails to have sent to my new Internet account. I unsubscribed from dozens of emails which were wasting my time and energy, consequently freeing up hours of my time. Now, it is a relief to not have to wade through a hundred emails everyday. Next, June recommended I find a business opportunity and begin networking by contributing to numerous Internet sites, for instance Blogger, and My Space. As a result of attending June’s class, I now use the Internet in an entirely different manner than before taking the class. In conclusion, I am very happy with these positive changes in my life.
